Poland Defeats Israel 2-1 in European Championship Qualifier

The Poland U-21 national team won 2-1 against Israel in the German city of Jena in their sixth match in the qualifying rounds for the European Championship. The win moves Poland into second place in Group 9, with 13 points from six matches. Israel remains in fifth place with seven points from six matches.
Poland took the lead in the 25th minute when Kacper Kozlowski scored from the penalty spot. Israel equalized in the 55th minute through Oscar Gloukh. Poland then regained the lead in the 75th minute when Michal Skoras scored.
Poland will next face Italy in their seventh match in the qualifying rounds on June 12. Israel will next face Bosnia and Herzegovina on the same day.
